Dr. Fernández earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University in 2025. Being from Puerto Rico, she was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine by a desire to address the challenges of pet overpopulation in her community back home. 

Dr. Fernández has special interests in surgery and preventive care, as well as urgent care.  At home, she shares life with her husband, their two dogs, Niko and Matteo and two cats, Ollie and Leo. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Fernández enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, and cheering on the Columbus Crew.
